Macworld UK named its Macworld Awards 2001 winners last night at a black-tie affair opposite London's Millennium Dome. Mac fan-humorist-actor Stephen Fry served as host. Apple's Titanium PowerBook and Adobe Photoshop 6.0.1 were among the most honored products.

THQ was an American video game publisher.The company published both internally created and externally licensed content in its product portfolio.THQ's internally created game series included Darksiders, De Blob, Destroy All Humans!, MX vs. ATV, Red Faction, and Saints Row, among others.The company also held exclusive, long-term licensing agreements with sports and entertainment content. More bug fixes, and one new treat for OS X users. Hopefully we're about set to call this one 1.2. Best Software: Back to the pandemic mac os. Photoshop 6.0.1 by Adobe. Runners-up were Office 2001, Dreamweaver 4, Mac OS X, iMovie 2, and Final Cut Pro.

Best Dealer: Macwarehouse (for the third year running). Runners-up were Computer Warehouse, Mygate, Dabs Direct, and Jigsaw.

Productivity Software: Office 2001 by Microsoft. Runners-up were Connectix's CopyAgent, Symantec's Norton SystemWorks 1.0, Extensis' PreFlight Online, Connectix's Virtual PC 4, and AEC Software's Details 3.0.1.

Connectivity: The Angelo Card from Hermstedt. Runners-up were AirShuttle from Hermstedt, FTP Client Pro 3.0 from Vicomsoft, FireWire Hub from Swann, Procurve Switch from HP, and DoubleTalk from Connectix.

Storage: Toast 5.0 Titanium from Roxio. Runners-up were Mac & More's FireLight, LaCie's 16x10x40 CD-RW, One Technologies' One Pro 45GB, Sonnet's Tempo RAID66, and Quantum's Snap Server 2000.

Multimedia Software: Premiere 6.0 from Adobe. Runners-up were Final Cut Pro 2, Adobe's After Effects 5.0, Apple's DVD Studio, Maxon's Cinema 4D XL 6.0, and Macromedia's Director 8.0.
